BurdaStyle 4/2010 127- Video Pattern Review

 Happy Belated Valentine’s Day!

I made this fabulous dress for the valentine’s day even though I didn’t state it in the video.  Below is the model from the BurdaStyle magazine in her stretch sateen version. What do you think of the pattern?

Pattern Description:Not much to say here, so lets just jump to the next question on the list.

Pattern Sizing:  The pattern is available in a range of sizes at burdastyle.com. However the exact sizing in the magazine is 36-44

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The front panel detail and bow accents on the shoulder makes this dress what it is A WINNER.
Fabric Used:  Stretch denim from Hancock Fabric (find similar here and here).

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, definitely. It’s is very likely that I’ll make this in blue denim.

Conclusion: I’m a big fan of this dress, it will definitely make it to my sew again list. One issue I encountered was that my corner at the bust line was not sharp and pointy. Something to work on the nest time for sure.

Thanks so much for visiting and Happy Sewing.
