Fall/Holiday Sewing Vogue Picks

Hope you are all enjoying to change in the air. Although I
don’t want to think about the white stuff that usually comes around this time
of the year in the Midwest – I’m excited for the Holidays. I’m such a big fan
of the Harvest Season, Friday the 13th, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s pretty
rare that I blog about my sewing picks for each season.

But I’m going to start
NOW. If you are like me and receive notifications from the McCall’s and Simplicity
pattern company, then you know how exciting or underwhelming these can be at
times.

Rebecca Taylor’s V1424 is a
favorite, it would be a sure winner if the silhouette included a slimmer skirt,
but I would still include on my wishlist. It reminds me of the

Sandra Betzina V1429 has a place
on my list. I love the high collar on this dress, I’m not sure how I feel about
the chosen fabric. This would be good with leather and double knit.

This is my #1 pick from the
holiday collection – DKNY V1421 & DonnaKaran Collection V1427

The design allows for subtle
color blocking and glove fit.

If you have Fall wedding this
dress would work great. I welcome emerald green or violet for this design, also a dusty rose or grey would compliment this pattern.

Tom and Linda Platt V1428 (Very
wearable and could find a home in my stash)

Below is my absolute favorite, but may not make my stash – I would need a Red Carpet invitation before I sew any of these. Badgley Mischka V1426 is a definite winner but I would be all dressed up with no place to go.
