Styling the Pressed Rose & Bow trend

My Ideal Summer Outfit!

All that I need is a feminine blouse, with a great pair of jeans. To finish the look, I’ll add a comfortable sandals and delicate accessories that showcase hints of the latest fashion trend!

My blouse is handmade using fabric that was sponsored by Minerva Crafts. What I love about this Burda Style pattern is the details! I enjoy sewing and most of my outfits will include at least one “Me Made” item.

The fabric is Lady McElroy Sydney 4 Way Stretch Plain Crepe Suiting if you’re interested and want to know more about the pattern used for this blouse, visit Minerva Crafts blog in July when my guest post goes live, I’ll have the link [here].

I love to know what trends are in each season and will only add those that fit my personal style. I’ve described my style in the past as Polished, Textured, Balanced and Beautiful.

Most times I keep it simple, with a punch or a bit of edgy touches. The ease of this look reminds me of a fun shopping day, a lunch meeting or a special night out with your significant other.

Hints of current trends

When I was younger, pink was not my go to color. I’ve always favored purple, lilac and pastels. When thinking about pastel tones, I kept it to the purple and the blues. Lately, I’ve experiment with this lovely color pressed rose.

Rose gold necklace and earrings from Target’s collection A New Day!

Subtle details on a solid color always packs the biggest punch.

Bows are a big trend this season and I had to tie it into this look somehow. I found this Karl Lagerfeld tote and my California earrings at TJ Maxx. My bow wedges from Marc Fischer are from DSW and the jeans are Express.
