A few weeks ago AW Bridal reached out to me to showcase some of their dresses for the upcoming bridal season. I was very happy to take them up on their offer. As we get into spring, we begin to check our calendars for graduation, prom, & wedding invitations. It’s quite likely you might have an event coming up soon or know someone that will be attending such an event in the near future.

Although I sew and would love to make one of these dresses for an event such as this. Things come up, and you may not have the opportunity or time to sew-up a dress. One of the other reasons I was happy to work with AW Bridal was because they have a lot of affordable dress, with designs you would find at big hitters in the bridal industry such as David’s Bridal, JJ House, & Kennedy Blue.

When shopping for clothing the most important thing we all consider is the fit. This is especially important when shopping online, because time is important and when things don’t fit you have to return them. The fit of these dresses was as expected. I started first by requesting a size 12 and 14 but once I gave the representative I was working with my size, she quickly decided to send a size 10. To paint the picture clearly, I wear a size 8 jeans and medium for tops. So thinking along the lines of general sizing for factories and how much elastane goes into most jeans 🙂 Sizing up a bit for a dress would be normal.

Are you wondering about quality?

Let me set the stage for you, I was expecting a too tight, ill fitting dress with bad stitching and clumsy constructions. About 3 years ago my friend purchased a prom dress from an online retailer, with hundreds of options and affordable prices. When she received her dress, it was nothing like the photo. Altering the dress was a pain, the lining was a mess and the boning was sewn in off-centered. With that said my expectations wasn’t that great.

The first thing I did when I received these, was to turn them inside out and check the lining.

The dresses are made with chiffon and lined with satin, the construction is beautiful, the hem stitching is done perfectly and both my daughter and I love how they fit. All the dresses we received had built in bra, which I think is a plus.

This last gown in my favorite, I love the details on this dress and the length is perfect for me. I always wear heels for special occasions, with this one I’m about 6’0″ tall.

This is how we ended our photo shoot, chatting and excited to be done!

Based on my experience, AW Bridal should be considered for your next special event or at least looked into. The price is right and the quality is worth way more than what you are paying for.
