It’s official the cold is coming!
Today I’ll be sharing my October Sewing Plans. I’m not sure
where September went but it was swift and the success-o-meter for sewing was an
all-time low. Ha-ha, I only made two items and they were not complicated at
all. The Molly Top (Sew over It City Break E-Magazine), was a quick make. I’m not satisfied with the fit of the
arm, but other than that it’s okay.

dress has a unique yoke detail at the waist that I really like. The two yoke

a slightly sexy take on the turtleneck, just a glimpse of skin is revealed at
the neckline. The say it has a standing collar but I say a turtleneck with
zipper at back. There are also small pleats in this design. With this simple

I love this Statement Pea Coat. It’s just one of those pieces that looks good
no matter the occasion. It’s perfect for the office or staying warm during an
evening stroll. I love how this one is on trend with the military look, by
adding the gold button. It’s a bit more modern due to the size and I’m not
quite sure where I’ll find such large ones. The pointed welt pockets will definitely
be a challenge as I’ve only attempted them twice without success. And I love
the removal collar, but I’m not sure if I’ll add to my project.
My Fabric Choice: Wool Blend
Suggested Fabric: – Wool or Wool Blend (Faux Fur Optional)
Tentative Project: Closet Case Ginger Jeans 2
