When I first saw this pattern, I wasn’t sure if it was for
me. After looking at the line art, it was clear I would like this dress. The
dress is partially cut on the crosswise grain and the bodice is quite fitted.
On the side front and back seams, I added lace to break up the boldness of the
floral print. I wished I had done the same to the cap sleeve but maybe next
Overall, I think this is a great pattern, with potential for
mixing & matching fabric. Most of the instructions were pretty straight
forward. The only step that may confuse you (well at least for me anyway) is attaching
the bodice lining to skirt lining. They have you attaching the waist of the
bodice lining *RS to the skirt lining**WS.
The fit was amazing. Because I have broad shoulders I’m
always nervous about cap sleeves, but this one gave me just enough room to move
freely which is a major plus.
The hem of the dress was hand stitched as well as the lining
around the zipper. I machine stitched the hem of the lining out of pure
